The Kerala Private College Managements’ Association came into being as a registered organization on 3 rd May 1960.It was established as a common platform of the Managements of Private Colleges of Kerala to promote harmony and cooperation among them in all matters relating to their common good and quality higher education.

The Association has been playing an important role in safeguarding the interests of Government Aided colleges of Kerala. It was instrumental in shaping the provisions of Direct Payment Agreement of 1972 between College Managements and State Government. The Association succeeded in incorporating the provisions of this agreement into the Statutes of various affiliating universities of Kerala.
